Timeform take a close look at three horses with bright futures...
Forgotten Voice was an emphatic winner of the 25 runner Royal Hunt Cup last week. The son of Danehill Dancer is now unbeaten in four starts and, while he was admittedly ideally drawn and soon well positioned, he still created a most favourable impression. The Hunt Cup is often won by a horse capable of pattern race success, Cesare and Royal Oath to name just a couple in recent times, and Forgotten Voice will undoubtedly go on to much better things
Reggane only made her debut in a newcomers' race at Chantilly in May, which she won by a cosy two lengths, and since then she has been narrowly denied in a Group 2 and produced a fine performance in the Group 1 Coronation Stakes at Royal Ascot last week. While Reggane never had a chance with the easy winner, Ghanaati, she did run on strongly from a long way back to finish a clear second. It was an excellent effort by one so inexperienced and pattern race success in the near future looks inevitable.
Godolphin's Mutheeb has been lightly raced since making a winning debut last September. Having produced a fine effort to beat Mia's Boy at Yarmouth on only his second start, he was then seemingly unsuited by the drop to six furlongs when beaten at Lingfield in May. The colt was returned to seven furlongs for the Buckingham Palace Stakes at Royal Ascot and ran with plenty of credit to finish fourth. He holds a Sussex Stakes entry and, while that might be a step too far, it would come as no surprise to see him do better again - his form as it stands is good enough for him to make his presence felt at listed level.
