15:50 Ludlow - LAY - Herecomestanley (Forecast 2.0)

Today's race is the 15:50 at Ludlow, it's a class 4 handicap hurdle over 2 mile 5 furlongs. Herecomestanley is the short priced favourite trained by M F Harris and ridden by Charlie Poste.

Yes, Herecomestanley has won his last two hurdles races from marks of 95 and 106. But this feat gives him a 7lb penalty taking him to a lifetime high hurdles mark of 113 today combined with the most weight he has ever carried, a huge 12 stone 3 lb. That disadvantage makes him a bet for the cretins only.

All six career wins have come at left-handed tracks and he has been beaten on the five occasions he travelled clockwise.

His last two wins came over longer trips and a drop in trip may not be ideal. Trainer M F Harris has only had one winner from 33 runners in the last five years at Ludlow.

The race is more competitive than it appears and there are many with chances but I will be laying the ludicrously priced favourite Herecomestanley.
