16:10 Lingfield - LAY - Rowdy Yeats (Forecast 2.1)

Today's race is the 16:10 at Lingfield, a class 4 handicap chase for conditional jockeys. Rowdy Yeats is forecast favourite trained by Nigel Twiston-Davies and ridden by David England.

Rowdy Yeats has won three out of his six races over fences including an eight length win on his first race for five months last time at Market Rasen, yet there are reasons to oppose him.

Having been given just 11 days to recover from that race he may run flat today and the drop back in trip to 2 miles is not ideal.

All three wins came on good ground and the forecast good to soft is against him. He has a massive weight of 12-5 to carry which should ensure the horse gets beat on this occasion.

Nigel Twiston Davies has had just the one winner at Lingfield in the last 5 years and I can't have Rowdy improving on that record. It's an open handicap and I will be laying the ludicrously priced Rowdy Yeats.
