Bersy may be a Prince but he won't be king today...

14:10 Exeter - LAY - Prince De Bersy (Forecast 2.85)

Today's race is the 14:10 at Exeter, it's a class 4 novice hurdle for amateur riders. Prince De Bersy is forecast favourite trained by David Pipe and ridden by Mr J Guerriero.

Prince De Bersy won a novice hurdle at Uttoxeter before finishing second under a penalty at Huntingdo but is likely to struggle again in novice company with a penalty and this is his first run on a testing track.

In the nine previous runnings of this race no four-year-old has ever won so Prince De Bersy would be making history if he could defy top weight to win. The race has been a graveyard for favourites with the last seven having been beaten and the ground may be riding faster than ideal if it stays good-firm.

Ask Oscar and Gaelic Present should go well but I will be laying the youngster with the big weight, Prince De Bersy.
