"No Loose Change is clearly no world-beater but he should give a good account of himself on his handicap debut..."
Paul provides the lowdown on his trio of the runners at Wincanton on the first Saturday of 2012...
Pasco
We tried him over 3m for the first time in one of the Betfair Graduation races at Newbury last time, but he never got competitive there, perhaps not too surprisingly given that he was up against the likes of Time For Rupert off levels on very testing ground. But I wasn't too disappointed by that run, as he travelled well for much of the race after a summer breathing operation. The step back in trip and into handicap company will hopefully see him in a better light, and he is off a fair mark here if returning to the form of his second to Mount Oscar at Newbury last season.

No Loose Change
Winning pointer who was surprisingly punted down to as short as 7-2 on his hurdling debut over 2m6f here in November. Although beaten 21 lengths there, he ran pleasingly enough, and he certainly improved on that when a close third to a couple of fair sorts over 2m4f on soft ground at Hereford last time. Will encounter similar conditions here and is hopefully the kind of horse who will continue to improve for experience; clearly no world-beater but should give a good account of himself on his handicap debut, though he will be better over fences in time. Certainly, Ballyrock, the winner of that Hereford race, did the form of the race no harm at all when running Fingal Bay to a length next time.

We are keeping this one busy and he makes a quick reappearance after finishing half-a-length second to Oldrik off a mark of 135 over 2m1f at Taunton last time, and the 12 length third there, Falcon Island, won a handicap over this course and distance by 12 lengths next time out. He has won over 2m4f at Fontwell, and I think this step up in trip will suit. He is clearly in good heart. Keeps the tongue tie and blinkers on that he wore at Taunton last time. Should run his race and this is only a four-runner race, but whether he finds one too good again, we will see, as he is up against three in-form horses.
