Sir Du Bearn

Was clearly very disappointing on his return over hurdles at Ascot but he is a chaser and won very nicely, by 30 lengths, on his return to fences over 2m4f here next time. Despite there being just five runners this looks a far more competitive race and he has plenty to find with his rivals on form, but the better ground here won't be a problem and, being lightly raced, he clearly has improvement in him.

The Knoxs

The handicapper raised him a colossal 18lb for winning on his reappearance at Exeterr, so we tried him in Grade 2 company against Oscar Whisky next time and then switched him to fences off a mark of 139 at Sandown last time. Dropped away very tamely from three out there, so we step him down in trip and back to hurdles here. Has chances on his Exeter win and I think 2m4f could just be ideal for him.
