Will Paul enjoy himself in Berkshire?
"This step back to 1m4f should be in Broomfield's favour - indeed, let's hope he shows some of the dash over the trip that his dam did when finishing second in the Arc!"
Paul takes three to the Berkshire track - how does he rate their chances? Read here

Violin Davis: Loves good ground and comes here in good form after winning over 2m6f at Wincanton last time. But that wasn't a great race and this is a very competitive handicap. Obviously, could have further improvement in her but I think she only has a fair mark off 117 here.

Current Event: Showed smart form when second in a Listed race at Auteuil in May and started odds-on at Aintree in November, only to finish tamely and come home a moderate sixth. But we found out that his breathing wasn't right there, so he has had an op. Is going nicely at home, so let's hope he fuflils his initial promise in France. But I want to see him do it on the track for me.

Broomfield: Admittedly, I don't have an Al Ferof in the yard this season, but this one works as well as well as any of my bumper horses. And the word clearly got out at Newbury earlier in the month and he was backed down to 5-4 favouritism. Was slightly disappointing in only finishing third there, but he pulled too hard and didn't quite see out the trip in the circumstances. This step back to 1m4f should be in his favour - indeed, let's hope he shows some of the dash over the trip that his dam did when finishing second in the Arc!
