Don't Turn Bach: This horse has got me perplexed. A very smart bumper horse in Ireland, he has failed to translate that into hurdling form for me. He travels really strongly, only to find little, but last time out in a Newbury handicap (where I really fancied him off a mark of just 106), he didn't even do that, and was beaten three out. He has the ability to win this race on the bridle, but it's impossible to be confident; is tried in a tongue strap for the first time today.

Robin Will: Everyone seemed to think this was some kind of "plot" horse earlier in the season, when all he doing was learning to settle and race after a bad experience first time up in a bumper. And he is steadily improving, as he showed when putting up his best effort to date when runner-up in a Wincanton handicap hurdle last time. Looks to hold a leading chance back in maiden company.

Our Bomber Harris: Was a decent bumper/novice hurdler from 2m-2m4f and there has been definite promise in his two chase starts this season. He was bit novicey when fourth at Doncaster last time and was in with every chance when a slightly unlucky faller two out at Exeter last time. Needs to brush up his jumping but clearly has chances in this five-runner contest.

Mousenikov: Went off at 50-1 on his racecourse debut at Wincanton in February but actually ran a promising race, though the contest probably wasn't the strongest. So I would expect him to improve a fair amount on his sixth there, though he would need to step up a great deal to trouble the likes of Speed Master and Kusadiki. Probably has place claims at best.
