Will Saturday bring winners?
"We have waited for the better ground with Vertige Dore, running him a Jumpers’ Bumper at Kempton in December where he ran a fair third on the all-weather, and this will hopefully be the start of a nice spring campaign for him."
A trio of Ditcheat contenders travel north including a promising hurdler and a pair of chasers. Read the inside line from Paul Nicholls here

Meanus Dandy: Won the Badger Ales at Wincanton in November, beating Buena Vista by 3 ½ lengths, the pair pulling 19 lengths clear of the third; went up 12lb for that win and was in the process of running a fair race when unseating Ian in the Becher last time. Good ground on a flat track suits him ideally, and I would give him a fair chance in an obviously competitive handicap. The Grand National remains the plan on good ground or faster.

Vertige Dore: Won his bumper for us at Worcester in June and followed up on his hurdling debut when beating subsequent winner Cass Bligh by 7 lengths a fortnight later at Bangor. We have waited for the better ground with him, running him a Jumpers' Bumper at Kempton in December where he ran a fair third on the all-weather, and this will hopefully be the start of a nice spring campaign for him.
17:35
Rivaliste: Ran a pleasing race on his reappearance when third to Dave's Dream at Cheltenham, but hasn't progressed from that, falling at Newbury and disappointing in the mud at Chepstow last time. He has been dropped 2lb, so let's hope for a better show on better ground here. The step back in trip should suit.
Paul's three best chances this weekend are...
Take The Breeze (Each Way) Newbury, 15:00
Meanus Dandy (Each Way) Doncaster, 15:15
Rangitoto Newbury, 16:10
