Macs Joy was a drifter in the Champion Hurdle market following his defeat at odds-on in Saturday's Red Mills Trial Hurdle at Gowran Park.
The eight-year-old is now trading at 14.5 for Cheltenham success after being turned over by last season's Queen Mother Champion Chase winner, Newmill, in the Grade Two contest.
Trainer Jessica Harrington put the reverse down to the race coming so soon after his last outing.
"His second run back could have been a factor and he's still alive and everything else is great so it's straight to the Champion now," said Harrington
"He's fine this morning. I've had him out for a walk and he's sound and seems to be perfect after yesterday.
"The one that beat him at Gowran was a very good horse. We gave him weight and that ground was horrible too."
Detroit City remains at the head of the Champion Hurdle market on 3.75, in front of Brave Inca (6.4) and Hardy Eustace (6.8). Yesterday's Wincanton winner, Straw Bear, is available at 9.8.
