A great start to the New Year yesterday with the perfect result. Despite the small field of just five runners we managed to find two successful place lays and a bet on the winner Partners In Jazz that was returned at a Betfair SP of [5.3]. We head north to Ayr today for the 3.15 where conditions are sure to prove testing on the predicted heavy ground. Wild Cane Ridge has course and distance winning form here but might prove a little vulnerable off top weight. We'll go for a place lay and support both Nelson Du Ronceray from a stable in form and the much improved bottom weight Storymaker.
