We came within a neck of a 50 point profit on Tuesday - so near so far with Jomus who was staying on well but not quite getting there. The place lay Border Edge, who was sent off a well-backed favourite, at least finished out of the frame. Despite the heartache yesterday we are back at Kempton for the 8.20 tonight. Smokey Rye has been in good form, as has her stable, but [2.92] looks too short in a race where several can lay good claims. Beaten a head in her last two races she won her maiden here in November but swished her tail that day and that race was over six furlongs - a furlong shorter than today. In short, one to take on at such a price. Tiger's Rocket won over this trip at Wolverhampton last time and is over-priced in our book.
