we are playing at big odds in the 2.00 at Southwell where three runners stand out on LayDough as being good value for money. This race has been won by a runner at an SP of 10/1 or bigger in three of the last five years and hopefully that trend can continue toady with one of our trio. Ocean Pride, a rare flat runner for David Pipe, was claimed by the trainer after winning at Lingfield in 2006 but has failed to sparkle over hurdles since. However, he is sampling Southwell for the first time and this unique surface might bring about an improvement. Monashee Brave was a course and distance winner of a seller in December before being outclassed in his last two starts. Nautical , the old boy of the party, handled this surface well last time out and ran fourth in a race better than today.
