Dreadful result in the Tolworth Hurdle with the first three favourites finishing 1,2,3. Even retrospectively it's hard to see how we could have made a profit from the race, only if I found Breedsbreeze value at around evens which I simply couldn't do. We've dipped into negative territory for the first time which is one place I don't want to be. Off to the Sussex National at Plumpton today where I am taking on The Risky Viking who faces a much harder task than he did when gaining a first success over a marathon four miles at Exeter last time out. I am still to be convinced about his overall profile. Milord Lescribaa and Mistress Nell look value and I am playing small win and place stakes on them both.
