We managed to get Faithful Ruler beat yesterday to land the lay - but he frustratingly finished third so the place lay was lost. Plumpton has sadly bit the dust on Monday so we turn our attention to Fakenham where the top weight The Dark Lord looks worth taking on in the place market at current odds of around [2.12] in the 3.20. He has a tendency to throw in the odd error and looks plenty high enough in the weights presently. On his two previous visits here (one a success) he frequently jumped right and can't afford to give too much ground away today. The current form of the stable is also a negative. Follow Your Heart is a bigger price than we forecast so will have a small interest in him.
