LayDough back in black after Sunday's selection romps home at odds of 60!

Laydough has made a stunning recovery after a turbulent start and followers of this daily tipping column should be back on track after 60 shot Himalayan Trail romped home at Bangor...
What a difference three days make. On Thursday our LayDough service was well and truly in the mire with a loss of over 188 points - a return that even Northern Rock shareholders would have been alarmed at.
However, amazingly the service has defied gravity and (as Jim Bowen would have said on Bullseye) is out of the red and in the black thanks to a couple of great days tipping.
LayDough hit the jackpot on Sunday with a stunning profit of 140.02 points on the day after tipping Himalayan Trail at Bangor which was returned at a massive Betfair SP of 60 for the win and 9.53 for the place.
Sunday's bets were:
Place Lay LORD BROCK to win 5 points
2 point win / 2 point place HIMALAYAN TRAIL
Just for good measure his place lay on Lord Brock was also successful.
LayDough signalled a return to form on Friday when his win bet El Zorro won at a Betfair SP of 10.78 giving him a profit of 53.40 points on the day and went close on Saturday with 12/1 runner-up Nacarat at Newbury.
All in all the stonking loss has been converted into a profit of 4.66 points since the service began - he's got the BFH - bus fare home and aiming for the speedboat in March.

well done,
I was listening to to talking about the service last night and you sounded a bit down beat about it, glad you had a big price winner today.
I wish you had mentioned your sunday selection on air last night as i would have had a few pound on the selection after hearing it's form.
cheers
Garry

Thanks Garry - much appreciated. I've had a rough old run with it but a real dream result today and hopefully the start of better times.

Well done!
I wonder if the critics will come out of the woodwork now, and give credit where it's due.
A lot of people can't get their head around 'value' betting at all.
It's not supposed to throw up winner after winner - rather, it works on the premise that the odds you get are higher than they should be. Your horse does not have to be the best in the race when 'value betting'.
Some of the LayDough critics seem to have missed this point.
Keep up the good work - nobody said this was easy!

Thanks for your comment. It definitely isn't easy and it's a (cliche coming) marathon not a sprint.
That said, the early results before the last three days were very poor and I am my own harshest critic.
Hopefully those who have been so vociferous in condemning the service will take note that one result can turn things around, and I am transparent enough to declare the running P&L as ugly as it got.
I am viewing the next period as 'take 2' as it gives me another chance to hopefully build a profit rather than get in the quicksand again.
