Timeform's Billy Nash gives you four recommendations for racing in Ireland on Thursday...

Punchestown 3:45- Win Back - Jessies Dream

Jessies Dream has a bit to find on the figures but he is a really progressive type and the fact that Ruby Walsh rides him in preference to recent Fairyhouse winner Uimhiraceathair is a tip in itself. He has only had 2 runs this season but has won them both, a bumper at Naas and a maiden hurdle at Thurles. That wasn't a strong maiden hurdle but Jessies Dream was in control from some way out and created a very favourable impression. He has had a nice break since and can give his trainer and jockey yet another victory.

Punchestown 4:20 - Place Lay - Valain

Valain is sure to go off a relatively short price, especially with Tony McCoy on board, and looks place-lay material. He has run well at Cheltenham and Aintree this year but his jumping left him down on both occasions and the softening ground will not be too his liking.

Punchestown 6.05 - Place Back - Square Sphere

A maximum field of 25 go to post for the Naas Court handicap hurdle and finding the winner won't be easy but one that has a good chance of getting in the money is Square Sphere. Robert Tyner's mare has only had three runs over hurdles but two of them came in similar races to this so lack of experience shouldn't be an issue. She found two and a half miles at Cork too sharp for her last time and the return to this trip will show her in a much better light.

Punchestown 7.40 - Win Lay - Quel Esprit

Quel Esprit finished best of Willie Mullins' eight runners in the Cheltenham bumper and is likely to be a warm order to take this, but he is essentially a stayer and may be worth opposing. He won a point to point prior to winning a bumper over two and a half miles at Leopardstown over Christmas and was again doing all his best work at the finish at Cheltenham. He is very much the one to beat in this but the four-year-old Whispering Hills and Nicky Henderson's Katmai are two that will put it up to him.
