O'Neill, McManus and McCoy team up this afternoon at Huntingdon
"Saves Time's breeding suggests he should be capable of excelling over hurdles and, with A P Mccoy on board for the first time, the pair combine to form the bet of the day."
With Thursday's SmartPlays featuring a winner at a Betfair SP of [7.30], Timeform's Free Form Site bring you three more bets for Friday, with all selections coming from Huntingdon...
Saves Time looks the type to do particularly well for the Jonjo O'Neill yard, racing in handicap company for the first time this afternoon (13:40) having qualified for a BHA mark after three runs in quick succession in novice hurdles. Saves Time shaped as if needing a step up in trip on the latest of those starts, and today's two-and-a-half-mile test on soft ground should prove sufficient for him to demonstrate stamina to be his forte. Saves Time's breeding suggests he should be capable of excelling over hurdles and, with A P Mccoy on board for the first time, the pair combine to form the bet of the day.
Wise Move looked an impressive winner on his handicap debut at Market Rasen earlier this month and goes in the 14:10 with every chance of following up. His performance last time out made Wise Move a Timeform Horse In Focus and it could be some while before the official assessor catches up with the Nicky Henderson-trained six-yearold. Wise Move was always travelling strongly that day and responded well to pressure in the closing stages to leave the impression that there will be more to come from him in future and, having escaped a penaly for that victory just five days ago, he looks to hold solid claims.
Rose of The Moon looks a worthy back selection in the 15:10 given the current prices and the fact that the David Pipe inmate is Timeform top-rated for the race. Oscargo is bound to be well supported given his connections but he disappointed last time, unseating his rider in a similar contest at Cheltenham on New Year's Day, and Rose of The Moon looks the more solid choice. Theologist is likely to prove the biggest danger, but Rose of the Moon should be capable of going close if recapturing something like his best, especially with the extra emphasis on stamina over three miles and two furlongs.
