Will you follow David's advice at Wincanton?
"Minella Special has strong form and looks overpriced. He's run really well when second here on both starts for Paul Henderson and today's conditions might suit him even better."
David Cleary makes the most of slim Sunday afternoon pickings to come up with a pair of promising bets...
The Irish turf Flat season gets underway at the Curragh this afternoon and provides the day's best action, with just two workaday jumps cards offered in Britain.
Easily the most interesting of the afternoon's jumping is the conditional jockeys handicap hurdle at Wincanton at 15:55. Themilanhorse is likely to start favourite and is open to progress, although this is a much stronger handicap than he won last time. Revani is obviously interesting for Nick Williams first time and Perpetually has claims too, but bottom weight Minella Special has strong form claims too and looks overpriced. He's run really well when second here on both starts for Paul Henderson and today's conditions might suit him even better.
At Hexham, Tipsy Indian could well be another winner for bang-in-form Sue Smith in the two-mile handicap at 16:40. His second at Sedgefield on his penultimate start has been boosted since and gives him the best form chance, while 12 wins from 34 runs in the last fortnight for the stable is an outstanding strike rate by any standards.
