Day four of Glorious Goodwood brings another tough-looking card, with the feature the totesport Mile at 15:25, one of the richest handicaps of the whole season. It ought to be nigh-on impossible to solve but it has been a very significant 'draw' race over the years - it's hard to win from a low-numbered stall, other than being held up off a strong pace - and it's no surprise that those drawn high dominate the market.

A strong pace looks unlikely this year, and indeed the progressive three-year-old Sea Lord may well have things his own way in front. He's close enough to the rail in stall 16 to get across and his record suggests he's very hard to pass. Sea Lord looks fairly priced at around [7.0].

Best bet on the card, though, is Pyrrha, win and place or each way in the Oak Tree Stakes at 17:15. She didn't give her running last time but has very solid form before that. Today's conditions should be ideal and she's ideally placed to dictate from stall 10. The likely favourite Jacqueline Quest might well win down in grade, but she's not straightforward and stall one isn't ideal, even in a smallish field. Pyrrha looks a good option against her.
