Is AP set for a Wednesday winner? Rory thinks so
"With weak finishers likely to be in the van early, Aine's Delight should see the race out stronger than her rivals."
Rory Delargy joins presenter Paul Jacobs on Timeform Radio on a fairly busy day with jumps action at Taunton and Ludlow, and AW cards at Lingfield and Kempton. Here are his best bets.
Best bet at Ludlow comes in the four-runner handicap chase at 15:20 where front runner Ajzal looks set for an easy lead against a trio of hold-up types. He's been a weak finisher in the past, but has largely thrived for his current yard, and has his ideal conditions today. His record on good/firm ground since joining Ed de Giles is 3-3, and he can make that a perfect four today. Esteem's good run of form came to an end last time, while Park Lane had things set up ideally for him when winning at Kempton last time, and will be fortunate if history repeats itself here.
At Taunton, champion jockey Tony McCoy should see things set up nicely for him on Andy Turnell's Aine's Delight in the 16:10. The King's Best mare is thoroughly genuine if inclined to take a grip, but with the weak finishing trio On Khee, Caravel and Run Along Boy all likely to be in the van early, she should see the race out stronger than those rivals.
