The racing at Limerick is due to kick off at 13:05
"Whiskey Hall is only 4 lb higher than for his sole success last term and looked right at the top of his game when second at this track on Boxing Day"
A seven-race card from Limerick provides today's Irish action, and we've come up with three more win bets.....
The maiden hurdle at 13:35 isn't a strong race and the way looks clear for De Dodger to shed his maiden tag. He's been running well of late, second in three handicaps and arguably going best when falling two out in a maiden, and a reproduction of that form will make him very hard to beat. It's hard to get a handle on what Page Turner achieved when second here last time, while his stamina for this sort of trip is a doubt, by a miler and out of one who raced only at seven furlongs. Futuramic could give the selection most to think about, having been sixth in a race that is working out well on Boxing Day, but he has shown a tendency to jump left which could hinder him around this track, when jumping is often at a premium.
The 14:05 looks a handicap where progressive types are rather thin on the ground. Black Zorro has the potential to progress at around two and a half miles after finishing third over shorter last time, but the one who stands out is Catleen. She was unlucky not to make a winning start for Willie Mullins when second at Tramore last time, keeping on well from the rear and just unable to reel back one who was allowed to build up a massive lead by halfway. She is only 4 lb higher in the weights now and looks sure to be suited by this step up from two miles, so rates as banker material.
Whiskey Hall runs half an hour later in a handicap hurdle over two-and-three-quarter miles and rates as another confident selection. He is only 4 lb higher than for his sole success last term and looked right at the top of his game when second at this track on Boxing Day, bursting four lengths clear on the home turn only to be reeled in by a totally unexposed rival, still well clear of the rest come the line. He faces nothing with that sort of profile here and should gain compensation.
