An eight-race card on the polytrack at Dundalk provides tonight's Irish action.....

Choral Society has slipped to an attractive mark and looks to hold strong claims in the six furlong handicap at 19:20. She could be rated higher on a couple of pieces of two-year-old form, beating a subsequent improver when winning a maiden here last November and, though she is yet to deliver on that promise, there have been excuses, racing too freely on her first two outings this term then poorly placed the way things developed last time. She is a strong traveller who should handle to drop to six furlongs and seems sure to give a good account in a run-of-the-mill affair.

Coach Bombay (20:20) has returned an improved performer this spring, winning a 10 furlong handicap here in March and was then better than the bare result when fifth over a slightly longer trip last time, poorly placed as things went and nearest at the finish. He's off the same mark here and, in a race where progressive types seem very thin on the ground, he looks an obvious selection.

The closing handicap at 21:15 contains quite a few in-form sorts despite the relatively small field size, but the one who makes most appeal is Prince of Fashion. He looked an unlucky loser when third over this course and distance in February and confirmed that impression when scoring here the following month, doing well considering it was a messy affair and he was dropped in trip. He's only 3 lb higher in the weights now and should have too many guns for Northgate and Jazz Girl.
