Fairyhouse goes ahead.
"Shariyan has plenty more to offer from this kind of mark".
With Fairyhouse having beaten the frost, Timeform's Irish team bring you three SmartPlays...
With both Darwin's Fox and Tofino Bay returning from almost a year off, the minor event on the card can go the way of Maggie Connolly, who progressed well over hurdles last season and looks favourably treated. She won her sole start in bumpers and ran well over hurdles later in 2010/11, readily landing two-and-quarter-mile maiden at Limerick. All in all she look to have fewer question marks against her than the majority in the field and can make up for her mishap at the last-named track on her return.
Rockyaboya is sure to have plenty of supporters in the handicap hurdle at 14.35 but our vote goes to Shariyan, who really caught the eye at Leopardstown last time. Colm Murphy's runner showed improvement to win a handicap hurdle at Downpatrick in July and was much better than bare result at Leopardstown last time, left with too much to do the way things panned out and finishing with running left. He has plenty more to offer from this kind of mark.
Mouse Morris's Rathlin stands out in the novice and is a confident selection, with his bold jumping likely to put him out of reach. He has impressed greatly with his accurate jumping in a short space of time over fences and a breathing op and the fitting of a tongue tie could be the making of him judged on his all-the-way maiden win over course and distance last time. He 's expected to land the odds.
