Today's Irish racing takes place at Fairyhouse.
"Oscars Business has progressed with each outing under Rules so far, creating a good impression when landing the odds from subsequent winner Glibin at Limerick"
Two win bets and a place lay for this afternoon's meeting at Fairyhouse.
Oscars Business (13:20) has progressed with each outing under Rules so far, creating a good impression when landing the odds from subsequent winner Glibin at Limerick on her hurdling debut last time, jumping fluently and easing clear from before the last. She may well prove best suited by further in time, but the second race looks a very winnable mares novice, and it will be disappointing if she's not up to seeing off her rivals.
The Normans Grove Chase is the feature event of the afternoon and should go the way of Noble Prince, but his price looks about right and the bet in the race may well be to take on Tranquil Sea (13:50) in the place market. There is no doubting that Eddie O'Grady's Grade 1 winner would be the main danger to the favourite if at the top of his game, but he's gone as if amiss on two of his last four starts, and had no excuses behind Apt Approach last time. This race looks more competitive and he shouldn't be as short as [2.28] for a place with Blazing Tempo and Saludos amongst the field.
The two-and-a-half-mile handicap looks a competitive heat, but at the current prices, it's worth taking a chance on Tailors Hill (15:30). A winning pointer, he's still unexposed over hurdles after just the four runs and is open to plenty of improvement upped in trip. Barry Geraghty takes the ride on Tailors Hill for the very first time, and prices around the [11.0] mark look attractive,
