Bible Black looks today's standout bet in the 18:30 at Wexford.

"This doesn't look the strongest of maidens for the track, the yard are in excellent form, and Bible Black looks a banker look to put his debut experience to good use".

Racing takes place over the jumps at Wexford and on the all-weather at Dundalk in Ireland this Friday evening and we have another 3 win selections.

Not many of those set to contest the 18.15 at Wexford hold any secrets from the handicapper, the notable exeption being Prince of Forwards, and Patrick Hughes' unexposed hurdler looks an appealing price at [8.0]. He was doing his best work late on when sixth to Garryowen Star in what has proved to be a strong race at Down Royal and ought to be ideally suited by the step up to 3m. Andrew McNamara is again in the saddle and it will be disappointing if he can't at least make the places.

Bible Black (18.30) is from a family the Ger Lyons stable have enjoyed plenty of success with in the past and he shaped much better than the result suggests when fifth to Snowflake Dancer here on debut, repeatedly denied a clear run and likely to have won granted a clear passage. This doesn't look the strongest of maidens for the track and, with the yard are in excellent form, Bible Black looks sure to put his debut experience to good use.

The penultimate race on the card at Dundalk looks quite a competitive handicap and a couple who stand out are Casbah Rock and Sounds of Thunder. The latter is potentially well treated on his first Flat start for a top yard, but Casbah Rock (21.00) has dropped so far in the handicap that he has to be supported tried in first-time cheekpieces. Although he's still a maiden under Rules, Casbah Rock shaped well on a couple of occasions form much higher marks and has plummeted in the weights after failing to fire during a period when his yard were struggling for winners. This mark looks very lenient given his best efforts and the booking of Johnny Murtagh catches the eye, too.
