The fillies are in action today at Bath
"Anglezarke and Tomintoul Singer look the pair to concentrate on, and the potential of the latter could win out on the day. Gilt Edge Girl continues to go the right way and is worth a try at this level."
Sunday's best Flat race in the UK is this listed sprint for fillies at Bath...
Anglezarke is a genuine filly who won on her reappearance at York last term before running creditably in good company. She is the class act on this, her first start for Richard Fahey, but the long absence a slight concern.
Angus Newz has been a really good servant to connections over the years, but this losing run is mounting up, and her enthusiasm is possibly on the wane judged on a laboured effort on return at Nottingham.
Gilt Edge Girl is a speedy filly who has done little wrong, winning three times and out of the places on just one occasion. A heartbreaking defeat on return confirmed she's still on the upgrade.
Golden Destiny ended 2009 in fine heart, winning four handicaps (last two here over a bit further). She won't get her own way up front on return in this grade, while her record fresh is uninspiring.
Impressible is a half-sister to the Nunthorpe/Sprint Cup winner Reverence. She was steadily progressive for Eric Alston, winning four handicaps over 5f last season, but is maybe flying too high on return for her new yard.
Atlantic Cycle quickly made up into useful 2-y-o last summer, routing her field in 5f maiden at Tipperary. She made an inauspicious start for her new yard at Dundalk earlier this month, however.
Ramamara was a dual 6f winner in an extremely busy first campaign. She was out of her depth in a listed race at Lingfield last month, and it's similar story here down in trip.
Tomintoul Singer improved with each start at 2 yrs, winning a 5f Folkestone maiden and signing off with an excellent effort behind Guineas fancy Puff at Newmarket. She is a smart prospect who will surely go well on her return.
VERDICT
Anglezarke and Tomintoul Singer look the pair to concentrate on, and the potential of the latter could win out on the day. Gilt Edge Girl continues to go the right way and is worth a try at this level.
