"Rasmy confirmed his debut promise when impressively winning a mile maiden race at Bath in October. He will stay ten furlongs and this smart prospect looks sure to go well on his return."
Newbury hosts a quality two-day meeting and the Conditions race on day one looks an interesting contest...
Take It To The Max won a six furlong Pontefract nursery and a minor event at Newmarket on his final start at 2 yrs. He is useful but is vulnerable to progressive sorts having to concede weight all round on his return.
Admission is a half-brother to the smart Charm School and he made an impressive winning debut in a mile maiden race at Yarmouth recently. This is tougher, but he's bred to stay and is open to plenty of improvement.
Bullet Train was successful on his debut in a mile maiden race at Yarmouth in October, he was still green but was coaxed home to win by a short head. He seems to be a useful prospect.
Gardening Leave was progressive at 2 yrs winning a mile heavy-ground maiden here then finishing a respectable sixth in a Group 1 at Saint-Cloud over this trip on his final start. His Stable are going really well and he almost certainly has more to offer.
Navajo Chief didn't progress as expected at 2 yrs but he has shown significant improvement on all-weather of late, placed at Kempton on both his starts over a mile. He has never been this far, and he now has to prove he's as effective back on turf.
Private Story was a ready winner of a seven furlong Sandown maiden on his debut in August. He showed pretty useful form subsequently (fourth to Take It To The Max over this trip on final 2-y-o start) but he is vulnerable to improvers.
Rasmy confirmed his debut promise when impressively winning a mile maiden race at Bath in October. He will stay ten furlongs and this smart prospect looks sure to go well on his return.
Myplacelater quickly developed into a fairly useful performer on all-weather this year, her best effort when a strong-finishing second on her penultimate start. She is not out of this if able to reproduce that level on turf.
Tipperary Boutique stepped up on her debut when winning a seven furlong heavy-ground maiden at Ayr in October. She is bred to suited by this sort of trip and is open to further progress for a yard which took this last year with High Heeled.
Verdict
Rasmy is bred to be suited by this step up in trip and gets the vote having won in really good style on his final start last year. Myplacelater has done well in a short space of time on all-weather and will be thereabouts if able to translate that form to turf, while Admission looked a good prospect when making a winning debut at Yarmouth recently.
