Langley (14:20) has progressed well since joining his current yard and, with the Tim Vaughan yard having seemingly turned the corner in recent weeks, can provide the trainer with further success this afternoon. Langley has progressed well on his latest three starts over timber on testing ground and there is a suspicion that he will be even better when faced with today's quicker conditions. The five-year-old is also Timeform top-rated for this competitive handicap hurdle and, if we factor in the anticipated improvement, he looks a good place selection at the current odds.

Caledonia Prince (14:30) is proving most reliable on the fibresand having run to the same level of form in each of his last three starts and a further reproduction should see him go close once again this afternoon. Caledonia Prince currently heads the Timeform ratings for this contest and, with question marks over some of his rivals, he looks one to keep on side. Myraid is likely to prove the stiffest competition to our selection, having produced his best effort of the season over course and distance last time, but he still has 6lb to find with our selection on Timeform figures, leaving Caledonia Prince looking good value for the victory.

First In Command (15:30) has taken well to the fibresand in recent starts and bids to land a hat-trick of victories in a race where he is a Timeform Horse in Focus and Timeform top-rated. First In Command has really taken off of late, finishing runner-up and scoring twice on his last trio of starts, and he should be capable of even better given the way he travelled last time. He had plenty in hand under a penalty just seven days ago and doesn't look too badly treated off his revised mark, judged to be better than all of his rivals at the weights, and he can go close once again.
