I think we're all ready for Cheltenham now. The sensible ones amongst us will have accumulated a healthily-sized betting bank for the week and the shrewdies will be sitting on some fancy ante-post prices. Some of us, however, could do with a winning treble today or it's back to last year's indignation of having to have 80p each way on the Coral Cup before retiring for the week...

The David Pipe-trained Shootin The Breeze hasn't troubled the judge in a couple of starts yet, but he's shaped with promise on both occasions, particularly on his debut when making late headway into mid-field in a strong race won by Minella Class, who followed up in the Tolworth. He was still yet to be fully asked for his effort when coming down at Ffos Las last time, either, so if he's none the worse for that fall he should be hard to beat in the opener at Plumpton, which is a weaker contest.

Martin Keighley's string went quiet earlier in the year, but he's really hit form in the last couple of weeks with five winners and several placed horses. One of those winners was Hypnotic Gaze and he looks to have been found a good opportunity to follow up in this afternoon's seller at Stratford, with neither the longer trip nor the opposition looking a problem to him.

Taunton's next race is rather more competitive, with both Sultan Fontenaille and Dastardly Dick looking to hold strong claims, but the Sue Smith-trained Daldini makes most appeal at the prices given he's tumbled so far down the weights and has shaped recently as though a revival is just around the corner. He paid the price for going off hard in heavy ground at Newcastle when last seen, but this race looks ideal for him to dictate matters and he'll be tough to peg back.

Back Shootin The Breeze @ [3.4] Plumpton 14.00
Back Hypnotic Gaze @ [3.1] Stratford 15.10
Back Daldini @ [4.1] Stratford 15:40
