Richard Fahey has got off to another flying start to the season
"Take It To The Max is potentially very well treated starting out for Richard Fahey and will prove very hard to beat if returning anywhere near his best".
Friday the 13th may be unlucky for some, but let's make it lucky for us!
Musidora winner Joviality proved that winning experience isn't a necessity in these good fillies' races and once-raced maiden Stella Point should make a bold bid to break her duck fast-tracked to listed company in the 14:10 at Newbury. Stella Point almost certainly has very little to find on form with those that have already won their maidens and could hardly have made a more promising debut over this course and distance in a race that didn't go her way, soon up against it once held up with little pace on and also caught behind weakening rivals, finishing strongly once in the clear without Hughes being hard. Her stable form is another positive.
Peintre d'Argent made a winning reappearance in 2010 and can repeat the trick in the 16:55 at Newbury. She had a good season last year and travelled as though still ahead of her mark when third to Quinsman at Ffos Las on her final outing. She's a half-sister to late developers Winged d'Argent and Mana d'Argent, so may even have more improvement in her this campaign.
Take It To The Max is potentially very well treated starting out for Richard Fahey and will prove very hard to beat if returning anywhere near his best at Hamilton this evening (20:00). He was bordering on useful as a juvenile but lost his form after his first two starts as a three-year-old, dropping 20 lb in the weights as a result. He couldn't be in better hands to get back on the up, and will be suited by the forecast good to soft going.
