You don't see many two-and-a-half-mile handicap chasers take the drop into a class 7 back on the level, but Tifoso (13.00) does just that at Lingfield and can gain a first success on the Flat. Formerly trained in France where he was successful over hurdles, Tifoso has chased home a number of progressive performers over jumps recently and is in excellent hands to exploit what looks an attractive mark on polytrack under Dane O'Neill.

The November Handicap-winning jockey is also on board another of our selections in the shape of Bidruma (15.30). She'd dropped down the weights prior to winning a five-furlong handicap at Kempton last month and contests another moderate contest here over a trip she's still unexposed at. A 3 lb rise in the weights should be enough to ensure Mike Murphy's charge remains competitive and the finale at Lingfield looks hers for the taking.

Hot Tottie (14.20) isn't the most straightforward, but brings some strong form to the table in the novices handicap hurdle for conditional jockeys at Exeter, and Jeremy Scott's mare has to get the nod. She sported cheekpieces for the first time when fourth at Southwell last month in a race that's seen the first, second and fifth all go in since and contests a weaker handicap today.
