There's a cracking six-race card at Sandown on Friday and that's where the Timeform Free Form Service have concentrated their selections.

The Group 3 Classic Trial usually has little bearing on the classic picture, but that's not to say there aren't good prospects in this year's line-up, and Waseet (1.45) is the one we want to be on. Chabal will be many people's idea of the winner, but a headstrong display in the Dewhurst raises slight doubts as to how well Godolphin's charge will progress, and we're happy to oppose him with Waseet, a maiden winner at Sandown who took a gigantic leap forward when second to Joshua Tree in the Royal Lodge at Ascot on his final start at two. The increased emphasis on stamina seems sure to suit Waseet and he'll likely progress again this term for John Dunlop.

Take Ten (2.20) is from a family of sprinters and should take the drop back to five furlongs in his stride in the sprint handicap. The handicapper has certainly taken a chance on the son of Bahamian Bounty, who ended 2009 with close defeats in valuable sales races at Newmarket, and this game, useful-looking colt has the scope to do well again in 2010.

Take Ten's trainer Mark Johnston could be set for a good afternoon, as we fancy the Middleham handler to take the final race on the card with Jutland (3.55). It looks a really competitive three-year-old handicap, with a number of the field holding big-race entries, but the way Jutland went through his race at Thirsk last week, when losing out on the nod to Dolphin Rock, suggested he's some way ahead of his mark. Up in trip, Jutland should make amends.
