Her second to Faited To Pretend over seven furlongs at Lingfield on her reappearance and first start since leaving Jeremy Noseda is the best piece of form on offer
Racing returns to Pontefract on Tuesday and there are three bets to be had at the West Yorkshire track.
Hits Only Jude (2.20) can get us off to a winning start. The seven-year-old shaped well from a wide draw at Catterick last week under his 7 lb claimer Neil Farley, finding just the thriving Academy Blues too good. Hits Only Jude has fared much better on the draw front here, securing potentially the best pitch of all in Stall 1, and off a favourable mark, can go one better.
The mile handicap looks a really competitive heat, though a number are reappearing. One who has already run this turf season is the tough and reliable Kiwi Bay (3.20), who fared much the best of the unfavoured group to race on the far side in the Spring Mile at Doncaster, finishing fifth. A repeat of that effort would surely see him go close back at the scene of his last win in September.
Picnic Party (4.50) can get off the mark in the six-furlong fillies' maiden. Her second to Faited To Pretend over seven furlongs at Lingfield on her reappearance and first start since leaving Jeremy Noseda is the best piece of form on offer, and the speed she showed suggests that the drop back in trip won't pose a problem.
