No sooner has the bet365 Gold Cup at Sandown ended the 2009/10 jumps season, then the 2010/11 campaign kicks off on Sunday with meetings at Ludlow and Wetherby. The Timeform Free Form Service offer a selection at each, as well as one from the Flat meeting at Bath.

Recent Wetherby winner Killard Point (4.00) can follow up at the Yorkshire track under Andrew Thornton. The veteran stayer has lost little of his enthusiasm, and jumped with his usual exuberance when taking advantage of a good mark over course and distance three weeks ago. Hold The Bid is arguably the biggest danger, but he didn't do enough on his return from a long absence at the same meeting to suggest he'll be winning again soon.

At Bath, Tomintoul Singer (4.25) can land a hot renewal of the Listed Lansdown Fillies' Stakes sprint. Anglezarke is likely to prove a tough nut to crack on her first start for Richard Fahey, but the Henry Cecil-trained Tomintoul Singer remains with considerable potential, signing off a commendable two-year-old campaign with a much improved effort behind 1,000 Guineas fancy Puff at Newmarket.

The Nick Williams stable, which had such a tremendous 2009/10 campaign, remarkably didn't have a single bumper runner all season, so the fact Royale's Charter (5.15) starts off in that sphere at Ludlow looks a tip in itself, and he's taken to make a winning debut. Barthelemy is the pick of those to have run previously, but Royale's Charter leads a host of interesting newcomers, and as a half-brother to one who was just pipped in a similar event on her debut, he gets the nod.
