"given he represents an unfashionable yard in the shape of Mike Hammond, a double figure price is assured."
Another three from the Free Form Service for Monday...
Via Galilei should have little trouble in getting off the mark in the 2.20 Plumpton. Via Galilei has kept good company this season, running creditably in novice hurdles won by the likes of Bellvano and Captain Chris, and wasn't given a hard time once his chance had gone at Kempton behind the latter who won so impressively at Cheltenham last week. Dropped considerably in class, Via Galilei boasts considerably the best form on offer, with any price around 2.0 very fair.
We've waited a while to try and gain compensation for The Pious Prince (4.55) 's poor run over fences when tipped up here in January, and today will hopefully be the day. Hurdling is much more The Pious Prince's game and his effort at Wincanton on his reappearance reads well given the number of subsequent improvers behind him that day. Dropped in grade, The Pious Prince can belatedly get off the mark over jumps.
Eighteen runners go to post in the handicap hurdle at Kempton (6.25) and Timeshift appeals as a very interesting runner at likely rewarding odds. Timeshift's three qualifying runs over hurdles have hardly been brimming with promise, but consequently he has a workable handicap mark to exploit. Even more so when you consider the fairly useful level he ran to both starts in bumpers, and given he represents an unfashionable yard in the shape of Mike Hammond, a double figure price is assured.
RECOMMENDATIONS
Back to win:
Plumpton 2.20 Via Galilei
Plumpton 4.55 The Pious Prince
