Frankie Dettori: Rides Asraab for Godolphin

"Gouray Girl and the race-fit Bawaardi make the shortlist, but the returning Asraab could be quite a bit better than this grade, and he's the one to beat."

Timeform go through the field for this intriguing seven-furlong handicap...

Gouray Girl ended last year on the up with her first handicap success tackling 7f for the first time at Newbury in October. She returns off a 6 lb higher mark but is unexposed at this trip.

Asraab looked one to follow when taking a 6f Newmarket maiden on his sole starts at two and, having been all the rage in the betting, found only one too good at Sandown last August. He remains with plenty of potential.

Noble Citizen is on a long losing run but mostly kept his head above water in competitive handicaps last season. He has not been seen since November, but returns on a very realistic mark if ready to go.

Mata Kerangjang is potentially well treated on his reappearance form from last year, but took an age to lose his maiden tag and remains one to tread carefully with after failing to justify market support on his recent return.

Excellent Guest largely contest handicap at the top tracks last season and gained due reward with a career best at Ascot in September. He has a 7 lb rise to contend with now and may need a few runs to hit full stride.

Swiss Cross recorded a career best when winning a 6f Kempton handicap in October. He was put in his place off a revised mark back at that track when last seen in November though and others have more potential.

Bawaardi is a consistent handicapper who has been kept busy on the AW over this winter and reaped the benefit of that switched to turf at Doncaster last time. A 3 lb rise shouldn't prevent another bold bid.

Ceremonial Jade was a smart performer on polytrack at his best, but fared poorly in a disappointing campaign in 2010 and is easy enough to oppose on turf despite a much-reduced mark.

Seek The Fair Land is better on AW than turf, gaining all five of his victories on polytrack over this trip. He shaped as if amiss at Lingfield when last seen in January and is easy to oppose now back on grass.

Timeform 1-2-3:
1. Asraab
2. Gouray Girl
3. Bawaardi

Timeform View: Gouray Girl and the race-fit Bawaardi make the shortlist, but the returning Asraab could be quite a bit better than this grade, and he's the one to beat.
