"Changing The Guard and Arlequin can be relied upon to give their running, but Ingleby Spirit returns on a fair mark and can continue where he left off last season."

Timeform take you through this field of hardened handicappers...

Tiger Reigns was not the most consistent last year but was tackling some competitive handicaps and did manage to win a couple. He bounced back to form when last seen in Dubai, but the assessor probably has the upper hand.

Itlaaq didn't stand much racing for John Dunlop, but was useful on his day, winning a 1¼m handicap at Haydock in June. He has not been seen since September, and is probably best watched unless the market vibes are positive on debut for a new yard.

Crackentorp is a solid handicapper who took his racing well last season despite drawing a blank. He has largely contested the top staying contests, and ought to give a good account on this reappearance.

Full Speed was better than ever when winning over 11f at Southwell in March 2010. He found this mark beyond him over C&D the following month and has not been seen since.

Sweet Child O'Mine is a Southwell specialist who made a successful return at that venue over 1m in February. One of her better turf runs came here, but she needs to match the pick of her AW efforts to be competitive off this mark.

Arlequin reeled in his rivals late when scoring in a 1¼m York handicap in May. He has performed with credit on the whole since, and will be fit following a couple of recent spins in France.

Doctor Zhivago won his two career starts at Southwell over 1m, but largely failed to give his running in handicaps last season. He has since left Mark Johnston, but his new yard adept is at reviving new inmates.

Ingleby Spirit rounded off last season with a deserved success in a Windsor handicap over this trip. He returns off just a 3 lb higher mark, so there's every reason to expect a bold showing.

Speed Dating was a largely progressive handicapper on the Flat for Sir Mark Prescott last term, winning three times. He has an expensive flop on handicap debut over hurdles last month, but his yard has been quick off the blocks this Flat season.

Overrule reached a new peak when landing the Cumberland Plate in June 2009. He has raced only sparingly on the level since (shaped well on occasions) but has an absence to overcome here.

Changing The Guard has not quite gone on as expected after a productive 2009, but he's fairly reliable in handicaps over this trip and can be expected to give another good account on his reappearance.

Timeform 1-2-3:
1. Ingleby Spirit
2. Changing The Guard
3. Arlequin

Timeform View: Plenty of solid handicappers in opposition. Changing The Guard and Arlequin can be relied upon to give their running, but Ingleby Spirit returns on a fair mark and can continue where he left off last season.
