"The Easterby family could have a major say in the outcome here with Hoof It and Discanti both fancied to go well, the former preferred given his good strike rate."

Timeform run the rule over this useful six-furlong handicap...

Corporal Maddox won three times at twos for different yards. He has been lightly raced since, drawing a blank, and looks to start life in handicaps on a stiff mark.

Hoof It won three handicaps last May and ended the 2010 campaign by improving again to score over 5f at Doncaster. He is as effective at 6f and there's a fair chance he can defy a career-high mark on his return.

Osteopathic Remedy produced a career best to win a competitive 1m Newcastle handicap in the mud in October. Sprinting is not his game, though, as proven when well behind on his reappearance earlier this month.

Judd Street was as good as ever when winning a minor event on turf at Meydan in March 2010 but has been below form since, including on his reappearance earlier this month.

Flipando was reinvented as a sprinter last year, winning twice over 6f. He built on the promise of his return when landing a handicap at Wolverhampton in March, and is best excused his latest run on turf (blew the start).

Green Park thrived at the end of 2010, winning at Chester, Warwick and Kempton (all 6f) within the space of 17 days. He was poorly drawn on his return at Beverley and it would come as no surprise if he was soon back on the up.

Tombi was below his best in 2010 but is fully effective under the conditions and is potentially well treated on his first start since leaving Howard Johnson. He often goes well after a break, so can't be ruled out.

Crown Choice was in good nick last year, gaining his second win at Sandown (7f) in June. He is unexposed at sprint trips and his record first time back makes pleasing reading (won in 2009 and second 12 months ago).

Wildcat Wizard has not won since his juvenile days but posted some good efforts in competitive sprint handicaps last season for Paul Cole. He hasn't shown much for his new yard either start this term, hence blinkers now being tried.

Internationaldebut is effective at a stiff 6f to 8.6f. He went close on his return at Doncaster, leading on the bridle but unable to shake off Lord Aeryn, but went back up 4 lb after that and is not in the habit of winning.

Haajes is versatile in terms of both tactics and ground. He won 5f handicaps at Hamilton and York last term, holding his form in between. That said, he has no record of going well fresh.

Tabaret responded to the fitting of a visor when regaining the winning thread over 5f at Doncaster in August. He has not been in the same form since, shaping as if the run was needed on his reappearance.

Discanti won a 6f handicap at Ripon in May 2010 and was good second to Cape Vale there on his return. He is back off a career-high mark here and has a wide draw to overcome, but he is at least fit and in form.

Timeform 1-2-3:
1. Hoof It
2. Tombi
3. Discanti

Timeform View: The Easterby family could have a major say in the outcome here with Hoof It and Discanti both fancied to go well, the former preferred given his good strike rate. Tombi has gone well off a break in the past and can't be ruled out on his first start for a new yard.
