Timeform run the rule over the two-and-a-half-mile listed handicap hurdle for novices at Huntingdon...

Sydney Paget had made a promising start to career under Rules, winning Carlisle bumper and Bangor novice hurdle first 2 starts. Best run came in defeat behind progressive sort at Haydock. Leading contender.

All The Aces Useful Flat performer who built on his promising hurdles debut when scoring at Newbury in December. Fair third last time and should be well suited by this longer trip.

Barry The Barber was well beaten both starts in Irish points and similar story in 3 bumpers, most recenty sporting a visor. Flying way too high on this switch to hurdles.

Nagpur showed a fair level of ability in France and a totally different proposition on second British start when landing Lingfield maiden. Followed up at Fontwell last month and respected in hat-trick bid.

Golden Gael won at the fourth attempt in bumpers, and created good impression when winning both hurdles starts for in-form yard this autumn. Excuses on handicap debut and return to this trip should suit.

Stagecoach Danman was a fair performer at up to 1¾m on Flat for Mark Johnston. Respectable start over hurdles when third in a Wincanton juvenile event in December, but tailed off next time and this tougher still.
