Timeform give their verdict on the ten-furlong handicap at Ayr...

Veroon displayed a gutsy attitude when gaining second win of the year at Doncaster (1m) in June. Generally struggled since, though, and nothing to take from most recent run over hurdles.

Daring Dream won twice over 1m in space of a week in June, 1m soft-ground handicap here first occasion. Poor efforts at this venue last twice, and unproven over this far.

Flipping goes well in the mud and ended 2010 with brace of wins at around 1m. Left Stuart Kittow after return in June, and much more like it when under 8 lengths sixth to Oriental Scot at Haydock recently.

Tamanaco is a mud lover who won 1m Haydock handicap with something to spare in August last year. Went hurdling in the spring (fair form) but looked in need of last month's return from a break.

Cobo Bay is effective under these conditions. Won 5 claimers in 2010 and routed rivals in 1½m Southwell handicap in March. Below par since including when claimed from Conor Dore for £6,000 last time.

Graceful Descent was consistent last year, winning 3 times, including here over 13f. Yet to fire this term, and this trip looks an inadequate test.

Gala Casino Star recorded his second handicap win of the summer when wearing rivals down late at Haydock (1¼m) in June. Didn't run badly when mid-field at Redcar last time, though not really shaping as if about to strike again.

Amazing Blue Sky is a front runner who has thrived during a busy campaign, winning twice at up to 1¼m. Close third of 12 at Redcar penultimate start only to run poorly there on Saturday.

White Diamond is an Ex-Irish filly who won a handicap over this trip at Navan a year ago. No match for Amazing Blue Sky when second to that rival at Haydock in May, ran poorly following month and not seen since.

Sirgarfieldsobers is an unreliable sort who was back to form when a close third over C&D in August. Typically uncooperative since, and remains one to tread carefully with. Blinkers now tried.

Ullswater was a good second over this trip at Epsom in August and back in the groove via Kempton third last time. Top yard in cracking form, though yet to shine when encountering soft ground.

High Resolution completed a hat-trick at Hamilton last summer. Not had the same success this season, but slipped back in weights and second here (9f) in July. Never threatened last 3 starts.

Best Prospect is a fairly useful dual-purpose performer, but regularly finds little for pressure. Did win over C&D at this time a year ago, even so run some shockers of late and now tried in change of headgear.

Only You Maggie opened her account at Ffos Las (1¼m) in August and largely respectable efforts since. Yet to encounter ground quite this testing, nevertheless weighted to be involved.

Timeform View: Flipping has yet to prove he stays this far, but he still looks worth chancing given he struck form with a vengeance at this time in 2010 and showed much more for his new yard last time. Only You Maggie and Tamanaco are put forward as each-way alternatives.
