Timeform run the rule over the sextet declared for this week's Saturday feature, the Betfair Ascot Chase.
Captain Chris beat Finian's Rainbow in the 2011 Arkle and won the Amlin here in November. Not beaten far by Long Run in the King George last time, but off bridle early and looked to have hard race.
Cue Card briefly looked a threat to Sprinter Sacre in last season's Arkle and impressive winner of Haldon Gold Cup on reappearance. Found the King George too much of a test, but could easily bounce back.
Finian's Rainbow is last season's Champion Chase winner who has excellent record over fences. Has reportedly had breathing operation since flopping on heavy ground on return but conditions likely to be testing again.
Ghizao wasn't beaten far by Finian's Rainbow in the 2011 Maghull, but yet to better that form, making the most of a straightforward task at Kempton on return and put in his place twice since. Plenty to find.
Pigeon Island landed the 2010 Grand Annual but not the force of old and likely flattered by finishing position in last weekend's Game Spirit. Tongue tie back on.
Somersby got the better of Finian's Rainbow in last season's Victor Chandler here. Shaped as if in need of the run on return after 9 months off at Cheltenham and this sort of trip looks ideal. Strong claims.
2. Cue Card
3. Finian's Rainbow
Timeform view: Captain Chris is uncertain to reproduce his King George form, while Finian's Rainbow is unlikely to be seen at his best under the likely conditions. Cue Card should be popular back in trip, but the vote goes to Somersby who has a fine record here and can trump them all if bringing his A-game.
