Nick fancies a little bit of something racing at Kelso....

At Kelso today in the opening race at 2.25 Maxwellton Braes is an interesting runner in this novice hurdle.

This horse put up a much improved effort last time out at Ayr when chasing home Quwetwo. He was closing steadily at the end and there was a big gap back to the third horse.Today he faces a very short priced favourite but this improving gelding could give him plenty to think about. At present he is trading at [3.8] on the exchange.
