Into maiden waters again, can former French filly do the business?

At Musselburgh today in the 12.55 Romance Dance is a mare with a touch of class in what is an interesting maiden hurdle. She has solid form in bumpers including a decent fourth to According To Dick at Cheltenham in October. Last time out, on her debut over hurdles, she did not appear to enjoy herself on the ground and hopefully today's better conditions can bring improvement.Currently she is trading at [6.0] on the exchange.

At Cheltenham today in the 2.30 Imperial Commander is a worthy favourite in today's big race. Last time out over this course he put up a most impressive performance beating Barbers Shop with a huge way back to the third. This horse has matured physically and has developed in to a high class performer and has been very well handled by his conditioner. In my view he is still improving and his current odds of [3.25] would be shorter had the stable been amongst the winners. I am not deterred by this and have backed him at this price.

Over at Lingfield in the 2.40 Lodge Lane should go very close in this race. This gelding put up a very good effort at Exeter last time out when beating a good field in great style. This horse has a good future ahead and his price of [1.97] looks appropriate with only a couple of realistic dangers.

At Cheltenham today in the 3.40 Frontier Dancer is a horse on the upgrade and has solid win and place credentials in this interesting affair. Last time out he thrashed a fair field at Warwick landing our 80/20 bet in brilliant style. He clearly has more to do today but this horse showed a willing attitude at Warwick and this is a huge advantage at this course.Currently he is trading at [9.0] on the exchange. I think there is more to come from this horse and he should be competitive in this race.

At Huntington today in the 12.10, Call me A legend is interesting in both markets in this race. Last time out he was a creditable second to Moves Goodenough at Uttoxeter in November. I think he needed the run that day and will like the extra yardage today. He has some very smart bumper form from last season and comes in to this race with solid credentials. Currently he is trading at [5.7] on the exchange.

At Leicester today the improving Quickbeam should relish the underfoot conditions and can go close in this event. Last time out, this slowly improving gelding was travelling well when he fell some way from home. This horse was always bred to make a chaser and is proven on the underfoot conditions. Providing he puts in a clear round he will be very hard to beat. Currently he is trading at [2.28] on the exchange.

At Sedgefield today in the 1.50 Rivington Pike should be very hard to beat in this poor event. At Kelso in early October he finished a modest second to Silk Drum but a reproduction of that effort would be good enough to take care of this field . Golden Tokyo will probably try to make all the running but he remains a maiden after 14 starts. At present the selection is trading at [2.0] on the exchange.

At Lingfield today in the 1.30 Desert Dreamer should go close in this claimer over seven furlongs. Last time out over this course he ran in to all kinds of problems and with a clear run he surely would have finished a lot closer behind eventual winner Monkey Glass. At present he is trading at [2.54] on the exchange, but I would strongly recommend monitoring the market in this race. He could be heavily backed due to a combination of his trainer's superb form and a previous unlucky run, which could lead to a useful trading opportunity.
