To Plumpton for the final bet of the week.

At Plumpton today in the 12.55 Georges Boy should have a good chance to make all the running. This confirmed front-runner took a heavy fall five from home at Kempton last time out but had a clear lead at the time. Hopefully, his confidence has not been affected and he holds a leading chance in this race. At present he is trading at [3.35] on the exchange.

At Lingfield today in the final race at 3.50 I will be having an interest in Swiss Franc in both markets in this Listed contest. This well related individual has kept some very good company in his short career including an excellent second to Henrythenavigator in the Coventry Stakes last year. He has been given a long break since his last run behind Edge Closer in June so he comes in to this race a fresh horse. On pedigree he should relish the artificial surface today and his current price of [12.0] looks very reasonable.

At Ascot today in the 1.30, Massini's Maguire is a very interesting runner. This horse has been off the course with injury since April of last year but boasts some very smart form notably when beating Tidal Bay at Cheltenham in 2007. Providing he puts in a clear round and he is sound he should prove difficult to beat today.Currently he is trading at [2.6] on the exchange.

Over at Kelso in the 12.45, Signalman should go close with the gifted Ryan Mania aboard. Last week at Newcastle he ran very well finishing a solid second to Burnt Oak and he is sure to come on from that effort. At present he is trading at [3.2] on the exchange.

At Great Leighs tonight in the 7.50, the beautifully-bred Fosool should open her account in this maiden on the Polytrack. She shaped with promise on debut when finishing a close second to Born Tobouggie at Nottingham on soft ground in April. This filly has clearly had a setback, hence her absence from the course for 219 days, but fitness should not be an issue in this event. Currently she is trading at [2.0] on the exchange.

At Lingfield today in the 2pm Woolston Ferry is a gelding who is pretty consistent in this grade. He put up a solid effort at Wolverhampton last time out when beating Smalljohn by a wide margin. Seven furlongs is a perfect distance for this son of Fath and he should go very close in this race today. At present he is trading at [2.72] on the exchange.

At Southwell today in the 12.50, Shadow Bay will appreciate the return to this grade and should run well against in a moderate field. This gelding has very good form in the context of this race and won a seller when making all at Ripon in July. Since then he has run well in a claiming race on the Polytrack at Kempton and should handle this surface. Currently he is trading at [2.38] on the exchange.

At Leicester today in the 2.20 the progressive Kalahari King should prove hard to beat in what is an interesting novice chase .This young gelding was very impressive at Kelso in October when thrashing a fair field including Bywell Beau on his chasing debut.There is no doubt that he will improve for that recent run and his current price of [2.28] looks appropriate.
