Featuring bets from Haydock, Ascot and Doncaster
At Haydock today I will be backing Captain Scooby in this maiden at 2.50 run over six furlongs. On debut the selection ran well behind impressive winner Officer Mor at Beverley and gave me the impression that this son of Captain Rio needed an extra furlong, which he has today. He clearly should improve for that run and his experience will be a benefit to him given the soft underfoot conditions today.
Today's Selection:
Haydock, 2.50, Captain Scooby, Win

At Ascot today Ramonti is an interesting runner in this Group 2 event at 2.55. This multiple Group 1 winner comes in to this race as the clear pick on all form and is proven on the ground. He won the Queen Anne last year in gutsy fashion and should go close...
Today's Selection
Ascot 2.55.Ramonti to win

At HQ today I will be backing Sir Gerry in both markets in this prestigious Group 1 event. The selection has developed into a very smart three-year-old and is still improving. Unusually he enjoys some give in the ground given his US pedigree and ran very well last time out at Ascot when he was gaining on the winner at the end of the race.

At Doncaster tonight in the 8.40 Royal Encore should go close in this maiden over six furlongs. This daughter of Royal Applause did meet trouble in running last time out and could have finished a little closer to the winner Amicus Meus . I think this race is a little weaker and she is still open to some improvement.
Today's Selection:
Doncaster, 8.40, Royal Encore, Win

At HQ today in the 3.10, I will be backing Infallible in both markets in this Group 1 event. This filly by Pivotal ran her heart out at Ascot last time out in the Coronation but her stamina just gave out close home and i do not think she appreciated the very fast ground behind Lush Lashes.Today she lines up over a mile once again but with a combination of some ease in the ground and a slightly easier mile she should last home.
Later on in the 4.20 at Newmarket, King O' The Gypsies should go close in this decent maiden. I was impressed with this well bred individual last time out at HQ when he ran on steadily behind the very impressive winner Pampas Cat on debut. He is sure to improve for that introduction and his price of [3.9] on the exchange looks appealing.
Today's Selections:
Newmarket, 3.10, Infallible, Win And Place
Newmarket 4.20, King O' The Gypsies, Win

At Pontefract in the opening race at 2.30 I am interested in Verinco in both markets in this nursery. The selection is talented but has his idiosyncrasies notably when unseating his pilot close home at Hamilton when he swerved near the line. Today he has a big weight but he can go close if putting his best foot forward.
Today's Selection:
Pontefract, 2.30, Verinco, Win and Place

At Brighton today in the 3pm Game Lady should have a good chance to follow up her success at Windsor a week ago. This daughter of Mind Games put up a good display last week beating High Reach easily and in my view this race is less competitive. At present her price is [2.12] on the exchange which appears reasonable.
Today's Selection:
Brighton, 3pm, Game Lady, Win
