He'll more than likely give his running again, and that'll almost certainly be enough to get him in the three. Rule of Nature's losing sequence this year is probably more than a coincidence, but she's by no means a bad placepot option with the step back to seven furlongs likely to suit.

13:55 - Mango Music hasn't had that many chances on polytrack, and she's simply on too good a mark to leave out, 11 lb lower on all-weather than turf. Anne of Kiev is the other obvious one bearing in mind how well she shaped returning from an absence last time.

14:30 - This looks one in the bag for Hanagan, an 8 lb rise in the weights very unlikely to be stopping Ritual from making it two from two in handicaps, and he's the day's first and only banker.

15:05 - Nothing in Sarando's Flat form suggests he's on a particularly good mark, but in light of his fairly useful hurdling efforts over the winter, it might be that he's an improved performer all round this year, in which case he'll take the beating in a weakish race. Only two places on offer after the withdrawal of the apparent no-hoper, so Boucheron goes in as well, an easing mark combined with the return to two miles likely to help her make more of an impact.

15:40 - The fact that habitual weak-finisher Papageno is currently a [2.24] shot to get off the mark at the eighteenth time of asking tells you all you need to know about this maiden. He's well worth taking on with the only two among the remainder to have shown a modicum of ability, namely Clear Praise and Billionaire Boy.
