There is better quality racing at both Cheltenham and Doncaster this afternoon but Timeform's Joe Szekeres thinks that he has found a winning placepot permutation at Lingfield...

12:50 - The opening ten-furlong handicap looks an interesting affair and Trip Switch's 8 lb rise in the weights shouldn't be enough to prevent him from again going close this afternoon having placed on all six of his most recent starts. He heads the field as Timeform top-rated and we're going to take a risk and bank on the George Prodromou runner.

13:25 - Bailey's Strider caught the eye on debut and, whilst he didn't have enough to land that contest, the market support he came in for suggests he should have the requisite ability to at least threaten in the field he faces today. Boots and Spurs just about sets the standard of the others and he should have enough to place if the favourite disappoints.

14:00 - Forceful Appeal is an ex-French colt who took just two goes to win in maiden company since joining Simon Dow's yard and looks open to improvement on his handicap debut under Hayley Turner. Titan Triumph is the other we're going to take, that one shaping as if potentially well handicapped on his penultimate start. The pair should be enough for us to conquer the third leg.

14:30 - It looks tempting to play a banker on Art Show in the fourth race and, whilst that is a risky strategy, it is one that will hopefully pay off for us considering she is rated 6 lb superior to her nearest rival based on Timeform figures. She disappointed on the Southwell fibresand last time, but her polytrack record is generally encouraging and we can expect her to bounce right back to form, producing a performance that should be enough to see her in the two against some limited rivals.

15:00 - Three places to play for in the next leg and Diamond Vine could be better than his recent form has suggested so he looks an obvious starting point. A repeat of his course-and-distance second last time should be enough to see him go close once again in what doesn't appear to be the strongest affair and, judging by the way he shaped last time, he could even go one better. There is a possibility that Diamond Vine may not get the luck in running he sometimes requires given his hold-up ways so we're also going to take Nubar Boy, a course-and-distance winner in 2010, and one of our pairing should definitely be amongst the three.

15:35 - Emerald Wilderness and Emma's Gift are two Timeform Horses In Focus having caught the eye on recent starts and the pair should be enough to make the placepot pay if we get this far. Emerald Wilderness has looked on an upward curve of late and a reproduction of his form from last time will make him difficult to beat. Emma's Gift has placed on her three latest all-weather starts and is very likely to go close again.
