"Raz de Maree has been crying out for this kind of a thorough test and is far less exposed than most"
Two win selections and a lay for Sunday's Naas card.....
Johnny McGeeney (13.55) has just about the best form on offer in the opening maiden hurdle on the card, but his response to pressure when second to Canaly at Fairyhouse last time didn't convince, and he looks vulnerable with the emphasis likely to be firmly on stamina in the conditions. Serein and Lockdown are far more likely to be suited by such a thorough test and a win lay of Johnny McGeeney at [2.56] is advised
Day of A Lifetime (15.35) has looked a horse of enormous potential on 2 of his 3 starts so far and gets a chance to enhance is Cheltenham credentials in what should be an informative Grade 2. Willie Mullins' representative created a big impression when running away with a bumper at Gowran last term and stamped himself as a smart prospect when routing the opposition in a maiden at Leopardstown on his hurdling debut in January. He should be able to take this on the way to better things.
The stoutly-bred Raz de Maree (16.40) got off the mark over hurdles in similar conditions at Navan last time, and whilst the handicapper hasn't taken any chances with his initial mark, he's been crying out for this kind of a thorough test and is far less exposed than most. It's admittedly a competitive heat, but Raz de Maree looks overpriced at [6.0]
Recommended bets
Lay Johnny McGeeney @ [2.56] in the 13.55
Back Day of a Lifetime @ [2.38] in the 15.35
Back Raz De Maree @ [6.0] in the 16.40
