Willie Mullins' Blazing Tempo holds outstanding claims in the 16.15

"Blazing Tempo (16.15) may be an obvious selection to complete the day's tips, but her case is such a compelling one that it's impossible to leave her out. She progressed really well in her first season over hurdles in 2009/10, winning a mares handicap off a mark of 111 before acquitting herself with credit at a higher level"

Following on from Punchestown's two-day meeting, the Irish jumps action continues at Clonmel, where we've come up with three more win bets .....

Lynott (15.15) fluffed his lines when sent off a well-backed favourite in a handicap at Punchestown last time, managing only sixth, but he was asked to make up a lot of ground quickly before 2 out after a patient ride on that occasion so looks well worth another chance in a lesser race. His mark is potentially very favourable, judged not only on his hurdles form of 2007/8, but also his Flat form this summer, when winning two handicaps, so at a price of around [ ], he looks a solid bet.

Pesoto (15.45) looked a chaser who was going places when making all in a maiden chase at Limerick on his reappearance last term, impressing with his jumping as he accounted for subsequent improver Swift Counsel by thirteen lengths. Things didn't really go according to plan for Edward O'Grady's charge afterwards, as he reportedly made a noise when pulled up in the Grade 1 Drinmore Chase at Fairyhouse and was then said to have returned with a cut to his right hind fetlock when only fourth in a novice at Naas in March. This does leave him with the scope to progress again this term if getting a clear run at his racing, however, and in a contest where a few of his main rivals on paper, notably Whatuthink, are likely to prove best over further, Pesoto looks a solid option.

Blazing Tempo (16.15) may be an obvious selection to complete the day's tips, but her case is such a compelling one that it's impossible to leave her out. She progressed really well in her first season over hurdles in 2009/10, winning a mares handicap off a mark of 111 before acquitting herself with credit at a higher level, notably when splitting Morning Supreme and For Bill in a listed event at Limerick. Very much a chaser on looks ((tall, lengthy mare) and now in the hands of the champion trainer Willie Mullins, she should have too many guns for fellow chasing debutant Star Wood.

RECOMMENDATIONS

all at Clonmel

back Lynott to win the 15.15
back Pesoto to win the 15.45
back Blazing Tempo to win the 16.15
